The institute has three graded faculty segments.

Highly successful working professionals in the field impart the training in Cochin Media School. These faculties possess a great deal of experience and specialization in their respective fields. The medium of instruction is English and Malayalam. Apart from the lead faculty, eminent film, television, literary, theatre and art personalities are invited, from time to time, as guest faculty to deliver lectures, conduct workshops and hold practical sessions. Such sessions and workshops introduce the students to the professional practices in the industry. Additional inputs from specialists are given to overcome the inhibitions and language barriers, groom personality and set life styles.

During the course of study, each student has to appear for regular and module exercises, module ending examinations, semester examinations, Diploma project, final written examination and Viva Voce. The Academic council of the institute awards Diploma Certificates to the students on successful completion of the prescribed course of study.
