More than 80 films are made by the students each year, as part of curriculum. And to bring talented students to limelight, the institute enters its student diploma films at various film festivals.

The institute has many firsts to its credit, the recent one being a landmark decision in the history of film education, whereby the institute will produce a feature film to launch its students into the film industry. Top students of the institute will get handpicked to work for filmmaker Ranjith in this film.
